Course Outline

This course is made up of 12 modules, divided into 3 sections. It can be taken over 12 weeks or longer, depending on your time and other commitments.

Section 1. The Call to Action

Module 1. Call to Action – An event triggers feeling of dissatisfaction resulting in us asking questions about our life.

Module 2. Resisting the Call – Fear of change and the consequences may hold us back. We need to look at our fears.

Module 3. Overcoming Resistance – Accepting that we have to face our fears so we can grow and move on. 

Module 4. Commitment to Change – By looking at what we have already achieved we can truly commit to our quest.

Section 2. Facing the Trials

Module 5. Facing the Trials – Here we identify what is holding us back and the questions we ask ourselves to reinforce this.

Module 6. Healing and Letting Go – We learn to forgive ourselves and others so that we can heal and move on.

Module 7. Daring to Dream – If you want to change your life you need to know what it is you really want. Here we think about what we really want and what will make us happy.

Module 8. Embracing your Power – We need to believe in ourselves and trust our intuition by standing in our own power.

Section 3. Rebirth and Return

Module 9. Preparing for Change – If we really want to change our lives we need to make sure we are in the best place to make this happen.

Module 10. Creating New Habits – Change does not occur overnight we need to put a plan into action to make these changes happen. By creating new habits we give ourselves the best chance of success.

Module 11. Communicating the New You – Here you help the other people in your life to accept that you have changed and that your relationship may have changed too.

Module 12. Rebirth and Celebration – Look at all you have achieved and congratulate ourselves by celebrating the end of this part of our journey to becoming a wise woman.

Why I wrote this course

I wanted to help women  realise how powerful they really are as they progress through their menopause journey. I wanted them to see that the wisdom they have gained in their lives is precious and to recognise their own beauty. I want them to realise that this wisdom is incredible and should be cherished.

Too often women feel that once they reach menopause they are no longer have any value. It sometimes seems as if instead of being honoured as elders they are seen as ‘past it’.  But really they have so much that they can still achieve in their lives and so much wisdom to pass on to others.

My Becoming a Wise Woman course came about as I struggled with, not just the physical effects of menopause, but the emotional and spiritual upheaval. I felt a shift in what was important to me and my sense of identity. Once I had got my head around it, I felt I was finally becoming the woman I was meant to be.
